Hi, we are Stefano (Italian) and Shirley (Scottish, lived in Italy for 20 + years) and we’re pretty proud of ourselves to have gained this reputation of being friendly and helpful to guests here at Podere Umbro (although we’re sure it’s just the dogs who’ve given us the reputation more)
We’re happy to help and guide you in the right direction for day trips, wine tastings, best places to eat, best towns to visit, cooking classes or anything else you need help with.
We also live on the property in another villa a little further away, so we’re on hand for anything you need. A WhatsApp…and we’re there to help 😊
There is a huge private elevated swimming pool overlooking the Tuscan hills with a covered gazebo, sun loungers and umbrellas. We have two dogs, three horses, a cat and many chickens, geese, ducks etc. The entire house is managed and maintained by our resident caretaker Antonio.

The apartments are very welcoming and well cared for. The outdoor spaces are also well looked after and the swimming pool is very beautiful. The owners are nice, kind and helpful. They speak English fluently, which can be useful for foreign guests.
Stunning place immersed in the woods in contact with nature. Stefano is welcoming and always available. The apartment is very nice and comfortable with a view of the forest and the valleys below. Rejuvenating swimming pool. Great for those traveling with dogs. It is located near the center of Città della Pieve, just over a kilometer away, so it is very convenient. Stefano also gave us the opportunity to stay a few more hours on the day of departure to let us relax a little longer in the pool.
Farmhouse in the middle of the Umbrian countryside just minutes from the beautiful Città della Pieve. The farmhouse is very beautiful and you can enjoy genuine tranquility, surrounded by horses and woods. The 2-storey apartment is very nice, and has a beautiful spacious patio, very useful for fully enjoying the outdoors even on sunny days.
Wonderful farm, surrounded by greenery, perfect for getting away from the hectic routine.
